BOOK UPLOADER BOT (BUB2) EXPLAINED
The BUB2 project is an open-source initiative that aims to make it easier to transfer documents from public libraries like Google Books, Punjab Digital Library (PDL) and Trove to the Internet Archive. The Internet Archive is a non-profit library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, websites, and more. By contributing to BUB2, you are helping to preserve and make accessible a vast amount of knowledge that might otherwise be lost or remain inaccessible to the public.
What problem is your community trying to solve?
The community is focused on solving the problem of document accessibility. Many documents and books in public libraries are not available online, and the BUB2 project helps to digitize and upload these documents to the Internet Archive, where they can be accessed by anyone with an internet connection.
Why would people want to use your project?
People who believe in the free distribution of knowledge and the preservation of literature and documents would be interested in using or contributing to this project. It's also a great opportunity for newcomers to open source to get involved in a project that has a tangible impact on the availability of information.
